My longest running open mic, the first one was on April 19, 2006 and this started me on the path to hosting open mics. My only previous experience was a jam at the legendary Sit-n-Bull in Maynard many years ago. We’ve really held our own here and this is where my “family” of players started and they continue to support me here and at my other venues. A large space with lots of tables, the performers play in the lounge area to those at the bar and surrounding tables. I get lots of talent here and James Montgomery joins me a couple times a year. You can always get a slot and I’m constantly impressed with the quality of musicians that come down. The fact that it’s one of Metrowest’s better barbecue joints only adds to the fun. Sign up is around 7:15 and I usually do a 40 min. warm up here.
